This project was the first construction project built exclusively for academic purposes. This facility helped to free up space in other buildings on campus, allowing the entire system to work better. The college is now able to concentrate on functional relationships between departments, associated activities requiring close proximity and the allocation of proper space.
The facility consist primarily of classroom and office spaces. There are five (5) office suites, each housing a different academic department, including Humanities, Social Sciences, and education all on the 2nd floor.
There are thirteen (13) general purpose classrooms primarily for the instruction of students in the academic disciplines housed in the office suites located in this facility. Two of the classrooms have fixed seats, sloping doors, and folding partitions. These two classrooms are combined with a lecture hall to create a 266 seat theater space.
Also contained in this facility are seminar rooms, conference rooms, computer labs, a student lounge and a bookstore.
